May 1: Caring for an Aging Loved One

An adult who cares for or provides financial support for both a parent and a child at the same time is a member of the Sandwich Generation. Nearly 80% of those in the sandwich generation spend at least 23 hours a week caring for aging parents or in-laws while also spending an average $10,000 a year helping their children and parents. While this can create a lot of stress for caregivers and their families, support and resources exist for members of the sandwich generation.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • Benefits of planning future care for aging parents
  • Effects of aging on physical, social, mental, emotional, and financial health
  • Identifying characteristics of self-care to deal with stress
  • Practical tools and tips to start discussions and plan for future care
