Wellness Series

December 8: Monthly Wellness Series with Kaiser Permanente: Building a Resilient Self

We all experience challenges over our lifetime. How we handle this adversity has lasting effects on our overall well-being. Participants will understand the impact resilience has on their social, emotional, and physical health. We’ll review tools and resources to strengthen their resilience.

Visit UpliftOregon.org/wellness for more information to register for the webinar.

Uplift OPEN (Oregon Peer Equity Network)

The Uplift Oregon Peer Equity Network launched last month at the Facing Race Conference. With over 30 participants attending either virtually or in person in Phoenix, AZ, Uplift was proud to sponsor one of the largest conference cohorts in the country!

Building on the excitement and inspiration from Facing Race, our cohort will continue to work toward our goal—supporting agencies in enhancing the equity work that will make the state of Oregon a more healthy, inclusive, and empowering employer—with monthly half-day peer networking and planning sessions beginning in 2023.

Coming soon: Critical Reflection Series

In early 2023, Uplift Oregon will host our second cohort of this six-part education and support series for State employees. The six sessions will focus on physical, emotional, and spiritual health, utilizing trauma-informed and anti-racist lenses. Our hope is that attendees will leave the series with increased knowledge about wellness and a larger community of support.

Through education and connection, each session will help guide the attendees to foster their own wellness rooted in their individual culture, heritage, and community.

The six sessions will take place over the course of six weeks starting in January. The series will be facilitated by Dr. General Johnson, Uplift’s wellness education coordinator, and Andrea Redeau, a licensed professional counselor. Attendees are asked to attend all six sessions. For more information, please contact Dr. General Johnson at [email protected].
