Benefits Program Overview

You matter. So do your benefits. We are here to support you in making the most of them.

In the Uplift Your Benefits workshop, you will be introduced to the range of benefits available to you as a state employee so that you can make informed decisions for yourself and your family. This workshop is tailored for new employees to the State of Oregon. After taking the workshop, you will have a better understanding of your state benefits and will have resources to take the next steps.

This includes:

  • Health insurance options
  • Retirement
  • Types of employee leave
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness program
  • Other optional insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Roles of Unions

In the last portion of the session, you will go into a breakout session based on your position’s union membership status (if applicable) to learn more about the systems available to support you. We will provide tools and resources to help you use your benefits with confidence.

All state employees can attend this session on work time. Please refer to your collective bargaining agreement or supervisor with questions. The Uplift Your Benefits training will be required for new hires in positions represented by AFSCME and SEIU. When possible, employees will sign up for their health insurance after going through the training.

How to Register:

Watch your inbox! A registration email will be sent from Uplift Oregon to all new employees within the first two weeks of your start date. If you are a new state employee and you did not get a registration email, please contact us at uplift.oregon@risepartnership.com. Also please make sure we didn’t get caught amongst your spam folder and mark us as “not spam” to ensure you get our emails.

This workshop will be hosted on Zoom and will include activities such as polls, chat function for questions, and breakout sessions. Joining from a computer rather than from a phone is recommended for the best experience. If you have any questions, please contact us at uplift.oregon@risepartnership.com.

We will email you the Zoom link and info a day before the workshop.
